Preschool Inclusion Program

Our inclusion program provides inclusive, high-quality early education for children with autism and other developmental delays.
We have a BCBA (Board Certified Behavioral Analyst) and a behavior technician on staff to assist our teachers in creating an inclusive environment where all children can thrive.

The Benefits

  • Children with autism learn alongside their typically developing peers.
  • Parents of children with autism and developmental delays feel supported.
  • Teachers receive training and resources they need to feel supported in the classroom.

Funding Sources

  • Medical insurance funding covers Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for children diagnosed with autism.
  • Families receiving insurance funded ABA services from an additional staff member (behavior technician) are still responsible for tuition to attend the program.
Picture

Why? Because the need is great...

  • 1 in 36 children have an autism spectrum disorder.
  • Research shows that early interventions for autism are more likely to have major, long-term positive effects on symptoms and later skills.
  • Behavioral support is an ever increasing need for ALL children.
  • Finding a quality, affordable preschool is more difficult for families with a child with autism.

How to Access Services

  • Few children start preschool with an autism diagnosis. Most are identified between ages 2-5 years.
  • Our teachers are experts in early childhood development. Often we are the first people to notice red flags that would indicate the need for an evaluation. If we have concerns about a child's development, we will conference with parents and provide a list of referral sources. If an evaluation yields an autism diagnosis, we will partner with the family to provide inclusive ABA therapy services in house.
  • Parents who have concerns about their child's development may request a team meeting at any time. We welcome the opportunity to collaborate with families to achieve the best possible outcome for children who are struggling with timely skill development.
